The Sicilian Opera Choir joins the voice of many other artists in the world who have wanted to express a sense of closeness to those who are experiencing a moment of particular sadness due to the health emergency that is bending all the countries of the world.
A voice that wants to instill hope, light, joy in a dark moment of human history, which speaks of sun, serenity after the storm, beauty and lighthouse, with the certainty – in the heart and soul – that culture and art can and should be the ferrymen of humanity to a better world, which – we realize it today more than ever – is possible and close.
This cry of hope comes from Sicily – land of unparalleled beauty – which involves artists who – from all over the island – have joined colleagues and friends present in many Italian regions and different parts of the world.
March 4, 2020: a day that changed our lives, forcing everyone to look at the weaknesses and frailties of a humanity that – for too long – thought it was invincible.
Italy has mourned thousands of its citizens, fallen in a war fought by a weak and invisible enemy; women and men who could not even have the comfort of loved ones and a prayer when leaving this world.
But the terrible health crisis has made it possible to bring to light the ability of Italians to react, making solidarity, beauty and life win.
Today, more than a month after that damned March 4, we want to bring a message not only of hope and joy, but of determination and awareness that even such a sneaky enemy can be fought and war can be won!
With joy in heart and whole soul we dedicate this universal hymn to the world:

In the field of sacred music works with the International Week of Sacred Music of Monreale (PA) and was cast in numerous works broadcast, live from the Teatro Antico in Taormina, broadcast worldwide through the channels RAI (RAIUNO and Rai5), SKY and circuit MICROCINEMA in over 700 cinemas worldwide.
